Mantra Seva

The bamboo shadows are sweeping the staircase, but no dust is stirred. The moon shines brightly upon the surface of the lake, but no trace is left in the water. ~ Qingyuan Weixin
Meditation.
For many people, the word brings to mind yogis and monks sitting in uncomfortable poses for hours, trying to clear their minds completely. But here's the catch — even the intention to stop thinking is still... a thought.
The mind is a thought-generating organ. One of my teachers used to say: “The mind thinks, the heart beats, and the body naturally breathes.” In fact, our minds and bodies perform hundreds of functions every hour without our conscious effort. Thinking is just one of them — and it doesn’t need to be stopped or silenced for meditation to happen.
Meditation isn’t about force or effort. It’s a natural process — one you simply learn how to begin. After that, you sit back, relax, and let the meditation unfold on its own. That’s what this website is here for... to help you get started.
To remind you it’s easier than you think.
So sit back. Relax. And when you're ready, read on.
